MMGY NextFactor Welcomes Jim McCaul as Senior Vice President of Destination Stewardship

February 3, 2020 — MMGY NextFactor is pleased to announce that Jim McCaul has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Destination Stewardship. McCaul’s first day with the company will be February 17, 2020.

McCaul has an extensive background in the travel and tourism industry and a wealth of knowledge about how destination organizations can curate more immersive destination experiences, manage sustainable visitor growth, promote equitable economic development and elevate quality of life and quality of place.

McCaul will lead the development and evolution of MMGY NextFactor’s destination master planning team. McCaul brings experience developing destination master plans for iconic cities such as a Los Angeles, burgeoning ‘second cities’ such as Richmond, VA and emerging destinations such as the Quad Cities.

Prior to joining MMGY NextFactor, Jim held senior positions with Destinations International, the global trade association for destination marketing organizations, and a global consulting firm in tourism, real estate and economic development. Along with a Masters in Tourism with a focus on Sustainable Destination Management from George Washington University, Jim also holds a certificate in Placemaking and Community-Based Urbanism from New York University.

Born in Austin, Texas, McCaul became a Canadian permanent resident in 2018. He currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.
